Hey everyone, i'm trying to help my friend fix his 06 6.0 I saw a few drips on the ground over last. I've had an 04 for over 10 years and love it

It was a no start hot and the icp would barely build over 200 psi The man i bought truck from said one if the turbo oil lines was leaking under load So i immediately went to the shop air test at the ipr valve

We indeed did hear air leaks under the oil rail area on.

My thanks go out for all of the knowledgeable poster's on this site Ya'll have gotten me thru many of the issues that i have repaired on my 6.0 This is the first time that i have needed advice that was not already posted This involves removing the icp sensor, installing test fittings, and pressurizing the system with shop air while commanding the ipr valve closed

You can then detect leaks using a stethoscope or listening tube. 6.0 powerstroke high pressure oil leak test made easy | no start when hot everything you need to know to to test high pressure oil system for leaks on 6.0l powerstroke diesel. I monitor all the gauges I've replaced stand pipes and dummy plugs, sct fitting, ipr, ipc, injector orings, nipple cups, oil cooler, 4 injectors, blue spring, fuel injector harness glow plugs

Turns out a diesel performance shop replaced the oil pressure sending unit before i bought the truck

It was leaking pretty bad, so got a new one from dealership, when i went to replace it the old one pulled right out, they stripped the cast aluminum threads so im screwed for a bit. After many years of searching for the right excursion 6.0 i finally purchased one It had a few issues that needed to be addressed as any used powerstroke out there
