About Karang Nyimbor Hotel and Surf Camp
Surf Camps Location: Sumatra
Karang Nyimbor Hotel is centrally located in a beautifully lush, tropical setting, right in front of Ujung Bocor Point. No need for long drives or boat trips; just walk out the front door and paddle into stellar line ups straight from the shore.
Ujung Bocor Point is the most consistent wave in South Sumatra, 30 minutes south of the township of Krui. The whole area offers safe, reliable access to a diverse variety of right and left-hand reefs and beach breaks, with waves varying from heavy dredging barrels, long down the line performance walls and open, carvable faces.
Karang Ntimbor Hotel offers a nice balance of accommodation; with budget dormitory-style rooms upstairs with shared bathroom facilities, adjoined double rooms downstairs, large bungalows with attached bathrooms and a stylish wood cabin with built-in bathroom. All rooms have fans, spring beds and mossie nets. …. oh yeah, and the camp also has the best view of the surf from the various viewing platforms.
The Hotel also has a pool table and indovision satellite television with 104 channels, so you won’t miss your favourite events. We also have surf-supplies and hire boards, a surf guide service and car/motorbike rental. A complete ‘a la carte menu’ is available, served daily to you by our friendly staff; there is plenty of fresh fish and all dietary requirements are catered for.
It’s a beautiful part of Indonesia, so if you are looking for an alternative surf trip with your mates, or just travelling solo, it is a chilled place to hang with the offer of awesome waves thrown in. And best of all, it won’t cost you a bomb………. you may even save enough to come back next year!
